Heiddeger, about “speaking”
n Journey to Speech, Heidegger gives us a brief summary of the traditional understanding of speech.
For him, saying that speech is “the sonic expression and communication of human emotions and intimate fluctuations” brings into play 3 presuppositions:
“Speaking” as a sound expression refers to the idea of an interior that is exteriorized
“Speaking” also being an activity that man seems the only one to practice, it is tempting to define man as the “speaking being”
finally through “Speaking”, man by expressing himself represents and exposes to view, all beings, that is to say the real and the unreal.
